Amanda Trosclair is a lifelong resident of St. Tammany Parish and a proud graduate of Northshore High School. Her legal career has been devoted to serving the people of St. Tammany and Washington Parishes, building a reputation for excellence across criminal, juvenile, family, civil, and general jurisdiction matters.
Amanda’s journey began in local schools and continued through Northshore High, Louisiana State University, and LSU’s Paul M. Hebert Law Center. She quickly rose through the ranks of the 22nd Judicial District Court Public Defender’s Office, where she supervised the juvenile, misdemeanor, and NonSupport divisions—managing high-volume dockets and leading teams through some of the most complex and sensitive cases in the district. As a litigator, Amanda has tried jury trials and hundreds of judge trials, including felony, misdemeanor, juvenile, family, and civil cases, and has served as the trier of fact in thousands more. For nearly ten years, she also served as a Hearing Officer for the 22nd Judicial District Court, where she heard cases, evaluated evidence, and applied the law with fairness and impartiality.
Her leadership extends beyond the courtroom. Amanda was among the first attorneys in Louisiana to earn the Child Welfare Law Specialization, and her expertise has led to appointments on state boards related to juvenile justice and child welfare. She is a graduate of Leadership St. Tammany (2014), President of the 22nd Judicial District Court Bar Association, Vice Chair and long-term board member of East St. Tammany Habitat for Humanity, and President of the Junior League of Greater Covington. Amanda’s commitment to professional growth and community service is evident in her extensive volunteer work and her role as a trusted mediator, recognized as Sophisticated Woman’s “Best Mediator” award in 2018.
Amanda’s service has taken her to every corner of the district, deepening her understanding of the diverse needs of the people she hopes to serve as Judge. Her approach is grounded in integrity, transparency, and a relentless focus on the well-being of the community. Amanda lives in St. Tammany Parish with her family and is deeply invested in the future of our region—bringing not only legal expertise but also the heart, vision, and proven leadership to ensure Division G remains a place where every person receives justice, dignity, and respect.
